Island

Bruny Island sits on 362 KMs, an Island located on the southern of Tasmania. North Bruny and South Bruny are divided by a narrow isthmus called The Neck (Truganini Lookout).

North and South Bruny have different landscapes. North Bruny is predominately farmlands whereas South Bruny has a wide range of forests. Dennes point is a popular destination in the North while South Bruny offers access to a wide range of beaches and National Parks and bushwalks.

Getting to
Bruny Island

Access to Bruny Island is by the Car Ferry which departs from Kettering. It’s about 45 minutes drive from Hobart Airport. The Ferry runs 7 days a week and takes approximately 15 minutes. Please see SEALINK ferry Timetable for winter/summer timetable.For international and interstate visitors, (we recommend you to hire a car at Hobart airport). Be sure to follow any government safety guidelines for travel.
